Lebrón and Augsburger came back to beat Galán and Chingotto in the P1 de Milan semifinal after losing the opening set 6-0. Their recovery sends them into the final against Coello and Tapia. The comeback took shape in a match that had appeared to be slipping away: in the deciding set, Lebrón and Augsburger kept applying pressure on return, reaching 0-30 in each of their opponents’ first two service games.

The match had begun very differently. Chingalán took control of the first set and won it 6-0, despite two unforced errors. The margin made it seem that Lebrón and Augsburger were close to being out of the match and that the second semifinal already had a clear outcome. At the changeover, Lebrón tried to lift his partner, while the number-two pair remained composed.

The response began in the second set. A backhand bajada from Lebrón, struck from his partner’s side, helped the duo create breathing room on the scoreboard. In the deciding set, Galán could not find an answer as the gap grew, and the set ended 6-2. The first break hurt Chingalán, who conceded another break that settled the match. Reaching 0-30 on return in each of their opponents’ first two service games showed how Lebrón and Augsburger maintained the pressure in that final set.

The win brought an emotional celebration. Lebrón invited Juanma Rodríguez, a coach at his academy, onto the court to celebrate with them. The comeback made for a dramatic semifinal at the P1 de Milan; Marca described it as a moment that belongs in Premier Padel history.

The final will therefore bring Lebrón and Augsburger together with Coello and Tapia. In the other Milano P1 semifinal, Coello and Tapia struck first with a break at 4-3, then broke again right at the start of the second set against the pair coached by Pozzoni. They went on to win 6-3 and secure their place in the final. Lebrón and Augsburger now have the chance to carry their momentum forward after a match in which the opening 6-0 did not prove decisive.
