The Kansas City Chiefs stopped the Las Vegas Raiders, handing them their first loss of the season with a 30-27 victory on Sunday in NFL Week 4. The Raiders hosted the Chiefs, and both teams were unbeaten before the divisional matchup.
The game was decided in the closing seconds. Xavier Nwankpa intercepted Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins, ending Las Vegas’s remaining hopes. The result brought the Raiders’ unbeaten start to an end, while Kansas City continued to put its disappointing 2025 season behind it. The Chiefs had reached the Super Bowl five times since 2020.
The week also brought a 29-26 road win for the New England Patriots over the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots, who had reached the previous Super Bowl but had managed only one win in a difficult start to the season, handed title contenders Buffalo their first defeat. On New England’s decisive drive toward the end zone, Chism caught a 19-yard pass. An interception of Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen then sealed the game.
