Paris Saint-Germain has yet to choose between the Parc des Princes, Poissy and Massy for its future stadium. The club is still considering the different options, while a communications battle between the parties has flared up again in recent hours.

In Paris, the family concerned has made no secret of its opposition to the club’s new projects. Sophie Taillibert told Le Parisien: « The proposed changes could undermine the architectural integrity of the work. » She also explained her position: « My opposition is not a whim. As the guardian of my father’s work, I have a moral duty to be consistent and respect his decisions concerning his work. »

That intervention adds another hurdle to the Parc des Princes issue, but for now it has not changed the progress of a possible future there for PSG. No option has been selected within the club, and nothing has been finalised.

For several months, PSG has been examining the possibility of building a new, larger and more modern stadium in Île-de-France, after failing to reach an agreement with the Paris city authorities to buy the Parc des Princes. A final steering committee is expected to take place; the club’s analysis period could then begin in several weeks.
