Barcelona have extended Xavi Espart’s contract until 2030, following his strong performances under Hansi Flick earlier this season.

It is official: Joselu Mato, 36, has signed for Al-Sailiya. The Spanish striker will continue his career in Qatar after leaving Al-Gharafa, where he played in the Qatar Stars League over the past two seasons. He was a free agent following the end of that spell, during which he produced good performances.
Al-Sailiya are now counting on Joselu’s experience and goalscoring ability. The move gives him a fresh challenge in the Qatari league after two seasons with another club in the country.
During a campaign with Real Madrid, Joselu helped the club win the Champions League and also lifted LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup. He was also crowned European champion with Spain in 2024.
Across his time in Qatar, he played 58 matches, scored 28 goals and provided five assists. His arrival at Al-Sailiya marks another step in his career in the country: it will be his third consecutive season in Qatar and his second club since arriving there.
