“This year, 200% is not enough; we have to give 300%,” José Juan Romero said. On the eve of the match against CE Sabadell, the Ceuta coach described his side as “limited” and said it would have to “compete to the maximum” to achieve its goal of staying up.

Romero also stressed the collective demand, asking his players to reproduce the level they showed on their last visit to Castellón, which ended 1-1. He said survival in the second division would require an exceptional effort from the entire squad. Saturday’s match will be played at Alfonso Murube.

The coach said he was pleased with his players’ performance at Castalia and wants it to be a turning point: “These matches have to be the starting point for believing, believing, believing and believing.” As for the next two home games, he preferred to take them one at a time: “We’ll go for the first one, and then we’ll see about the second.” He also expressed confidence in Ceuta’s ability to win at Murube, where the team must, in his view, “make ourselves strong.”

Romero also praised Sabadell’s progress after its return to professional football following two successive promotions. He said the club had “come back strongly”, made an impressive start in the division and was doing things well, with a good foundation and good additions.

Albert Caparrós, known as “Capa”, said his continued involvement, after playing a prominent role in three consecutive matches, had given him confidence. After seven years at the club, he said: “I already feel like a caballa, with everything I’ve experienced here.”
