Anis Hadj Moussa has spoken about his failed move to Al-Ittihad, who had taken steps to sign him and offered an attractive financial package. The discussions with Feyenoord did not produce an agreement, leaving the Algerian winger at the Dutch side amid uncertainty until the summer transfer window closed in the Netherlands.
In an interview with Voetbal International, Hadj Moussa said he did not regret remaining at Feyenoord. He described the situation as a normal part of a footballer’s professional career. “I am very happy, as I have said. These are things any footballer can experience. In the end, I stayed, and I am very happy about that,” he said.
The negotiations had also affected the player on the pitch: he missed the match against NEC after Giovanni van Bronckhorst judged that he was not mentally present enough to play. Hadj Moussa also welcomed the coach’s praise, after he had called him an “artist”. “It makes me happy that a great player like him says that, and I am very pleased,” he said.
With the talks with Al-Ittihad ending without an agreement, the winger has made clear that he is pleased to have stayed with his current club.
