Mauritanian full-back Diallo has returned to training with Granada and will be able to play again on Monday at El Plantío, where his side faces Burgos. His return to the group was the main development in Friday’s session, held at Granada’s training ground as preparations continued for the match and open to the media throughout.
Baila Diallo trained at the same pace as his teammates after overcoming an injury that had kept him out for more than a month. He had missed Granada’s previous five matches with a foot injury. The club had not issued an official medical statement about it, and his absence lasted considerably longer than first expected.
All signs point to Diallo getting minutes against Burgos on Monday. A return straight to the starting lineup is also possible, although that is not certain.
For Granada, Alejandro Marqués, who is recovering from a muscle injury, was the only player absent from Friday’s training and the only one certain to miss the trip to Burgos. Several others ended the session early as a precaution, leaving their availability for El Plantío uncertain.
