Elche and Celta meet at the Martínez Valero stadium on Sunday, 11 October, at 2pm in the eighth round of LaLiga EA Sports. The sides arrive with clear objectives, while recent head-to-head results give Celta the edge.
Celta have won four of the teams’ five most recent meetings, with Elche taking the other. Elche now hope to claim their first home victory of the season after losing all three matches played in front of their own fans. They can draw encouragement from having gone into the break on a positive note.
Celta also gained a morale boost from their latest league outing. They will look to extend their away run and secure their first win on the road. The fixture therefore offers each side a different target: Elche are seeking a breakthrough at home, while Celta are chasing their first away success.
The eighth-round match will be shown live on television on Movistar+ LaLiga. Kick-off is scheduled for 2pm at the Martínez Valero.
