Zabiri draws level with Lamine, Mbappe and Camello in the scoring chart

Zabiri is now level with Lamine and Mbappe. Yassir Zabiri scored his seventh goal of the season against Valencia, a tally that also puts him level with Lamine, Mbappe and Camello in the goalscoring chart. Raphinha leads the Primera standings with 12 goals.

The Moroccan has settled in at Racing and become a key attacking reference for the side. He has scored seven times in Liga’s first eight rounds. Chema Aragón recruited him from Stade de Rennes, and the forward arrived in Santander on loan.

Racing has not ruled out making an offer to the French club that owns Zabiri, in an effort to secure priority on the player. The forward’s contribution has come in different forms: three of his goals were against Elche, two against Alavés and one at Nou Camp against Barcelona. His latest came against Valencia.

Zabiri also made his debut for Morocco’s senior national team during this international break. The side has considerable quality in attack.
