Wydad and the Meknes club drew on Sunday evening, with neither side scoring at the Mohammed V sports complex in Casablanca. The match was part of the third round of the national professional championship. Wydad Athletic had to settle for a point against its hosts.
The home side sought to take control from the start, keeping more of the ball and pressing for an early goal. But Meknes closed down the space and made Wydad’s efforts difficult. The visitors were cautious and also looked to counterattack. Neither team found enough attacking accuracy to break the deadlock before half-time.
