The eighth round of the Belgian football league showcased the attacking form of three Moroccan players: Elias Sebaoui, Ibrahim Salah and Tawfik Ben Taieb each scored for their club. Their goals underline the presence of Moroccan forwards making an impact on Belgian pitches.
Sebaoui stood out for Sint-Truiden against Mechelen. He scored his team’s second goal and earned the player-of-the-match award, extending a run of strong performances since the start of the current football season. The strike was his first in the Belgian league this season. He had already scored twice in the Europa League and provided three assists across competitions, taking his overall tally to three goals and three assists.
Ibrahim Salah scored Royal Antwerp’s only goal against Westerlo, coached by Moroccan manager Issam Charaï. Tawfik Ben Taieb opened the scoring for Anderlecht against Cercle Brugge.
Since the start of the season, Ben Taieb has three goals and one assist for Anderlecht. The three Moroccans’ attacking displays were among the day’s highlights, each adding to their contribution for their club.
