Cissé hits a hat-trick in Milan’s emphatic win over Salzburg

Cissé led Milan to an emphatic win over Salzburg, with the team managing without Modric. The Italian side fielded a reshuffled lineup against its opponents, but still took the lead quickly.

After the first quarter of an hour, a fine move down the right allowed Hutchinson to deliver a cross that Cissé headed into the bottom-left corner. Fifteen minutes later, the forward scored again, turning in a pass from Bartesaghi.

After the break, Cissé completed his hat-trick by forcing home Rabiot’s cross. The move had begun with a clear chance for Salzburo, and the goal was allowed to stand by only a few centimetres.

After the hour mark, Allegri brought on several key members of the squad, including Luka Modric, Christian Pulisic and Gonçalo Ramos. A Jashari recovery near the Salzburg penalty area then set up the move that extended the lead. The Portuguese player finished to make it four. Cissé’s hat-trick, meanwhile, earned his team all three points.
