Nordsjælland take a point away to Hearts

Nordsjælland began their Conference League league-phase campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Hearts on Thursday evening. The result in the opening round gives both sides a point. Ibrahim Adel was in the starting line-up for the Danish club and remained on the pitch for the full match.

After the break, Nordsjælland increased their efforts to get back on level terms. Nicklas Røjkær eventually scored the equaliser in the 86th minute, ensuring his team did not leave the away fixture empty-handed. The Danish side therefore ended the evening with a draw against their Scottish hosts.

Adel’s place in the starting XI and his full-match contribution accompanied Nordsjælland’s first result in the competition. For both clubs, the point shared marks the beginning of the league phase: Hearts and Nordsjælland each have one point after the opening matchday. They will continue their campaigns in the competition in the coming rounds.
